SUMMARY:This course is designed to meet regulatory requirements for childcare and for those who want to be prepared in the event of an emergency. In this class, you will learn hands-on techniques to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Topics covered include scene safety, how to perform CPR, how to use an AED, how to stop bleeding that can be seen, ways to help with a broken bone or sprain, assistance with choking, and other basic first aid techniques.  The course covers modules in Pediatric First Aid, Child/Infant CPR AED, and Adult CPR AED. You will receive a two-year Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR/AED certification card upon successful completion. Bring a snack or lunch with you for full-day classes.
