The Arts Missoula Speaker Series continues on Monday, December 13 at noon. Dr. Antonio Flores is the featured speaker. He is an infectious disease specialist whose work takes place in humanitarian settings. In the past year and a half, the COVID-19 response has taken up a great deal of his time in Brazil, Mozambique and South Africa. In addition, Dr. Flores has worked in several other countries, implementing and coordinating medical programs to address needs of vulnerable populations. As a medical advisor in an international medical humanitarian organization, his passion is to empower other healthcare workers to make a positive impact on their communities.

Dr. Flores will talk about community engagement, vulnerability and inequity in the COVID-19 response. He'll also draw parallels to other epidemics, such as HIV and TB.
