Join ceramic artist Krissy Ramirez for a hands-on workshop inspired by Jun Kaneko’s iconic sculpture, Monumental Energy, now on view on MAM’s top floor. This workshop invites you to decorate your own mini Dango—a term that means “dumpling” or “rounded form” in Japanese. Explore the decorative techniques Kaneko uses in his monumental ceramic sculptures while working with a bisque mold and experiment with visual elements like shapes, color, and surface design through glazing. Please arrive a few minutes early to ensure a spot. Children under age 7 must be accompanied by an adult. All materials are provided and works will be fired for pick date TBD. FREE ADMISSION.
