Join the Montana Moth Project (MMP) for an evening exploring the fascinating world of our nocturnal pollinators and their vital role in local ecosystems. Moths are among the most ecologically important insect groups in terrestrial environments, yet their diversity, distribution, and habitat associations in Montana have long been understudied. The MMP—a scientific research and citizen science initiative—is dedicated to documenting moths across every county in the state, helping to fill critical gaps in our understanding of these often-overlooked insects.
