Description:
Calling all history enthusiasts! 4HistoryBuffs is a new program at MPL held on the last Friday of each month from 7-9PM. Join guest speakers for lively and entertaining presentations of historical interest. This month’s theme is The Orphan Train Saga and the speaker, Jon Shontz, will lead our members in a discussion about the longest migration of children in the world’s history. Many of these children came to Montana from the streets of New York City and the role of the Milwaukee Road played in this historical event. The Milwaukee Railroad ran through the heart of Missoula, the Milwaukee Trail is its roadbed. If you would like to find out more about this program contact Paulette at (406) 541-8860.
