The piano faculty and students from the University of Montana School of Music present Pianissimo! on Friday, October 17 and Saturday, October 18 at 7:30pm, and a smaller version called Poco Pianissimo! on Sunday, October 19th at 2:00pm. An exciting and exhilarating concert that features a wide variety of musical styles with multiple pianists playing multiple pianos, Pianissimo! has grown into one of the most anticipated and beloved events in the School of Music, drawing enthusiastic audiences every year. This year, our theme is “The Last Best Piece” where we feature stellar arrangements for five pianos by Dr. Jeffrey Shumway, a Montana resident and UM supporter who has donated these works to the School of Music Keyboard Division! We are thrilled to be able to present these works to you! We welcome you to sit back and hold on for an event that is sure to get your feet tapping to the sound of many dancing fingers.
