Let your kids discover the fun in making with clay! Students will learn how to build cups and bowls, but also to make animals and monsters! This class will teach techniques such as coil building, slab building, and scratch and attach. Students will get to decorate their work using underglazes, adding vibrant color to their new creations!

This course meets from 9am-12pm for five mornings from Monday, June 16th- Friday, June 20th at Wildfire Ceramic Studio, 2502 Murphy Unit A. Please bring your child on-time and ready to get messy!

Day 1: Learn how to make a bowl with coils!
Day 2: Lets make your favorite animals
Day 3: Slab building cups!
Day 4: Free make, use your newfound knowledge to make whatever you want!
Day 5: Decorate

The fee is $200 per child and includes instruction, mid-morning snacks each day, all the required clay, tools, and glazing/firing services.

Enrollment deadline: *May 25th* at midnight.

We can accommodate 10 kids in total, so be sure to sign-up early! If you are signing up more than one child, please fill out the registration info for each child.

Instructor:
Gabs Conway, the Family Fun instructor and WCS Summer Camps Counselor, has nearly 10 years teaching experience with kids and adults alike, including facilitation of several summer camps. Gabs grew up throwing and sculpting alongside her father while he studied ceramics in Mankato, Minnesota. In May of 2021, she earned her BFA, with a concentration in ceramics at the University of Wisconsin - Stout. Now, she is a full time artist and educator.
