Summer Learning Program: All Ages Music Fest

Summer rocks hard, and so do libraries! Come down to our parking garage for an all-ages music fest with local metal bands, Walking Corpse Syndrome, Damnthebadluck, and Elephant Graveyard. The show is free, but donations are gratefully accepted, and will benefit the Free Verse Project https://www.freeverseproject.org/, a local non-profit that supports youth incarcerated in Montana through humanities-based educational programming. Definitely no shushing here.

DAMNTHEBADLUCK is a hardcore/post-punk band from Missoula, MT. Composed of Luke Harmon (vocals), Cody Sumner (guitar), Mars Sandavol (bass), and Chris Ostheimer (drums). Sounds like Idles, Turnstile, and all your favorite bands from the 2000’s.

Elephant Graveyard, is a brutal death metal band hailing from Missoula, Montana, that has been crushing the scene since their formation in 2020. The band consists of six members: lead vocalist, Jamal Greely, drummer, Jancy Petersen, lead guitarist, Chris Honold, bassist, Michael Auchenbach, and rhythm guitarists, Coleman Allen, and John Schultze. Elephant Graveyard's with their intense energy and stage presence, live shows are a spectacle to behold. The band has recently released their highly anticipated album 'DOOMBRINGERS', an eight track album that is the epitome of sonic brutality.

Walking Corpse Syndrome is a five-piece progressive deathcore band from Missoula, Montana that started in 2006. Known for having two drummers and an intense live show with huge sound, Walking Corpse Syndrome is Leif Winterrowd (vocals), Matthew Bile (guitar), Tana Starkey (guitar), Nocktis (drums), and Mr. Grimm (drums).
