Description:
When: Thursday June 4th from 7pm-9pm
Cost: $25
Learn to use creative writing as a mindfulness exercise.
Discover the therapeutic power of words as you use creative writing to relax and de-stress. Through gentle prompts, mindfulness exercises, and expressive writing techniques, you'll explore your inner thoughts and emotions in a supportive environment. No prior writing experience is needed—just bring an open mind and a desire to find peace through storytelling. This course is perfect for anyone wanting to cultivate mindfulness, reduce anxiety, and boost their well-being through the art of creative expression.
What to Expect:
We’ll arrive and after introductions set intentions and ground to a guided breathing exercise
Two brief lessons will each be followed by free write exercises - sharing is always optional
To close, we’ll ground again with final takeaways and encouragements
A calm, supportive, and non-judgmental environment
Short guided meditations to help you relax and focus
Simple, accessible writing exercises
No writing experience needed
Emphasis on process over perfection
Time to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself
Please bring:
Pen and paper
Notebook or journal
Laptop or tablet (if you prefer typing)
