Learn about situational awareness and how your body responds under stress. Then, move into the Civilian Response to Active Attack Events training—formerly known as the Citizen Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) program. Built around the Avoid, Deny, Defend (ADD) strategy developed by ALERRT in 2004, you’ll gain strategies, guidance, and a proven plan to help you survive active attack situations and other critical incidents. You’ll also explore topics such as the history and frequency of active attack events, civilian response options, medical considerations, and how to conduct effective safety drills.
